Writing prompt of the day: Write a palindrome poem.
A palindrome poem, also known as a mirror poem, uses the same words in the first and second half of the poem, but the second half is in reverse order of the first. The two halves are connected by one word in the middle of the poem.
Your writing challenge is to write your own ROUGH palindrome poem in ONE day.
Remember, the goal is to write, not to make it perfect. (Hint: I would avoid starting the poem with articles, prepositions, or any word you do not want at the end of your poem.)
Here is my rough attempt to write a palindrome poem.
People forge walls.
Between minds and hearts,
Forgetting the living,
Living the forgetting,
Hearts and minds between
Walls forge people.
Your turn! I would love to read your work, so please share your poem in the comments below.
